Lions Clubs of Australia is part of an international association filled with like minded people, joined by a common desire to make their communities better by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy to help those who are in need of a hand up - whatever that need may be. The Lions do this by
- Organising charter and supervise service clubs to be known as Lions clubs
- Coordinating the activities and standardize the administration of Lions clubs
- Creating and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world
- Promoting the principles of good government and good citizenship
- Uniting the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding
- Providing a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest
- Encouraging service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards.
Membership to Lions is open to all people in the community in good standing
